Developer Tools

In particular, it's hard to figure out what vBulletin files need to be included, how authentication works, if provided APIs must be used from within a vBulletin page only, etc.
Is there a more detailed developer manual somewhere?
Though, there is an API documentation available here: http://members.vbulletin.com/api/
We generally don't provide coding support here; but vbulletin.org is also quite a lively community that may be able to help get you started.

I respect your decision, but I don't think it makes a lot of sense to offer a public API without sufficient documentation. It's a bit like selling locks without including a pair of keys.
I will read the source code and figure it out by myself, as probably hundreds of other developers have done before me.
It seems like a lot of duplicated effort, but I do understand you won't make more money if you write the required documentation.
