Proxy Scams

By rose | March 13, 2010

  • I came across this article:
    http://www.proxyscam.com/

And was wondering if this was someting VB took in to account by default or if it was worth aving the file as vbulletin_proxyscam.js upload it to /forums/clientscript/ directory.

// Tells the web-browser "If you're in a frame break out and load the page normally"

Then edit your headinclude template, and add the following:

  • No, vBulletin does not take this into account. The way people browse the web is basically their own responsibility.

  • I regard something like this to be a security based issue.

And while yes it is a users responsability on how they surf the web, if we can make it easier and safer for those less knowledgeable then all the better.

Guess I will confirm the implementation/concept over at .org and release it it there.

    Thanx for the prompt reply
